Our Commitment to Child Safety

 OrganiKids Childcare is committed to providing a safe, nurturing and protective environment where every child feels secure, respected, heard and valued.

We uphold the Child Safe Standards and embed child safety into all aspects of our governance, recruitment practices, policies, daily routines and educator interactions. The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority and underpins every decision we make. 

We maintain clear reporting procedures, uphold our mandatory reporting obligations, and foster a culture where children are empowered to express their feelings, understand their rights, and speak up if something does not feel safe.

 All educators, management, staff, students and volunteers at OrganiKids are required to hold a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) in accordance with Western Australian legislation. 

Working With Children Checks are verified prior to commencement and monitored to ensure currency at all times. No individual is permitted to engage in child-related work at our service without a valid WWCC or documented evidence of renewal (receipt of application) in accordance with legislative requirements.

 All educators, management and staff at OrganiKids are required to complete approved Child Protection training, including nationally recognised units such as CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk and CHCPRT026 – Support the rights and safety of children and young people.

Our service will ensure that all educators and staff maintain current knowledge of their mandatory reporting obligations and actively participate in ongoing professional learning aligned with the Child Safe Standards, the National Quality Framework, and contemporary child protection best practice.

 All educators, management and staff at OrganiKids have completed, or are in the process of completing, the National Child Safety Training courses.

Our Service will ensure that the Foundations of Child Safety Training is completed by all existing staff by 27 August 2026, and by all new employees within 14 days of commencement with the service.

The Foundations of Child Safety Refresher Training will be undertaken by March 2028, in line with national reform requirements, to ensure our knowledge remains current, evidence-informed and responsive to evolving best practice in child protection.

 In addition, OrganiKids will ensure that the Advanced National Child Safety Training courses, available from July 2026, are completed by all educators, management and staff in accordance with national reform requirements.
